Caliendo Sports International Baseball Team Italy Trip Sponsored by Caliendo Sports

Caliendo Sports International USA Baseball Team will be competing as they travel throughout the beautiful countryside of Italy from July 25th-August 4th, 2021. Departure from the USA is July 25 to arrive in Rome July 26th, 2021.

We would like to invite you to join Caliendo Sports International USA Baseball Team for this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play baseball and explore the culture of one of the most beautiful countries in the world Italy.

Player’s will learn daily by great coaches the fundamentals of the game and the finer aspects of the game through scrimmages and competitive games against local Italian teams.

Italy has a history of baseball. American servicemen taught them how to play after the war. Joe DiMaggio, an Italian American visited several baseball towns in Italy. They have competed in the World Baseball Classic and there are many prominent Italian-American players. Yogi Berra, Tommy Lasorda, Mike Piazza, Tony La Russa, and Anthony Rizzo, just to name a few.

This trip promises to be a truly amazing experience and we strongly encourage parents, siblings, and extended family members to join us along with their sons that will be playing for us.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and it is made even more memorable when it is shared with family and friends!

We will be selecting 12-14 players to represent Caliendo Sports International USA Baseball Team. If you are interested and we select you, please email us back with your acceptance and we will send you additional information telling you how to begin the registration process.

Tentative Itinerary:

You will fly out from your home city on July 25th, 2021 and arrive in Rome July 26th. You will take a shuttle to the airport hotel where the team is staying on that day. We will all stay together as Caliendo Sports USA Baseball Team for the duration of the trip. Return flight will be from Rome August 4th and you will arrive home in the USA the same day.

We will send further details once you have committed to the Italy trip. Towns that Team America will visit and or play in are Rome, Rovigo, Florence, Venice, Siena, Verona and Pisa.

Historical sights we will visit:

  • Roman Coliseum
  • St. Peters Church
  • Ride on Gondolas in Venice (optional)
  • Bridge of Italian Gold in Florence
  • Experience Italian culture while visiting numerous small towns
  • After we play games you will get to experience team gatherings with the Italian players, their families and townspeople. You will have an opportunity to eat, drink and experience the various cultures and traditions in each city

Baseball Experience

  • Games daily but one travel day

Everyone must travel through Caliendo Sports International USA Baseball Team package. No exceptions. We do everything together as a team from starting the day with team breakfast, games, daily tours, dinners, etc.

Lunch is on your own for eating, visiting, shopping, family time etc.

August 1st Depart for Siena, Rome and play game
August 2nd Rome, visit sites and play game
August 3rd St. Peters Church and play game
August 4th Depart for USA

We highly suggest that you purchase travel insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances.
