Diamondbacks manager and Italian American Torey Lovullo had the option picked up on his contract.

Lovullo was hired in 2017 by Arizona and with 390 victories is the winningest in team history.

The California native played eight years in the big leagues and began coaching at the major league level in 2011 with Toronto and then with Boston in 2012.
