The third annual Italian American Baseball Foundation golf outing was held at the historic Engineers Country Club on Long Island.

Several former major league players were on hand to support the foundation including John Franco, Mike Pagliarulo, Shawn Chacon, Jeff Manto and Jim Leyritz.

The outing was made possible thanks to the generosity of IABF member Steve Napolitano.

IABF donated and matched the raffle proceeds to help the family of fallen police officer Anthony Vavaro, who played Major League Baseball for seven seasons before working for the NY/NJ Port Authority. He died in a car accident this month.
