College baseball coaching legend Paul Mainieri is this year’s IABF Collegiate Award honoree.

With 1,500-plus wins, Mainieri is one of the winningest coaches in college baseball history. He has held head coaching positions at St. Thomas, Air Force, Notre Dame, and, most notably, LSU, where he led the Tigers to a College World Series in 2009.

Mainieri came out of retirement recently and was named the head coach at South Carolina.

IABF debuted the Collegiate Award in 2023, and the inaugural honoree was legendary Arizona softball coach Mike Candrea.

The 2024 IABF Gala lineup will be star-studded as usual, with Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, Dave Righetti, Joe Castiglione, Sal Frelick, and Spencer Jones also receiving honors. More honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.
