It has been a special year for Red Sox radio broadcaster Joe Castiglione, from the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame and now the 2024 IABF Media Award. Both are for his service to broadcasting and baseball.

Castiglione has been the Red Sox’s radio voice since 1983. He started his career with the Indians in 1979 and worked for the Brewers in 1981.

Recent IABF Media Award honorees include Chris Russo, Michael Kay, and Tom Verducci.

The 2024 IABF Gala lineup will be star-studded as usual, with Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, Dave Righetti, Sal Frelick, and Spencer Jones also receiving honors. More honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.
