Spencer Jones is the latest ball player named an Italian American Baseball Foundation Future Star honoree. He will be recognized at the annual IABF Gala on December 5 at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx. Jones is Italian American through his mother’s heritage.

Jones, who was also named to the MLB Futures Game, is one of the top prospects in the New York Yankees’ organization.

He was informed of this honor by IABF President Joe Quagliano and IABF Vice President Carmine Gangone during a brief meeting before a Somerset Patriots game.

Recent IABF Future Star honorees include Anthony Volpe (Yankees), Vito Friscia (Phillies), and Jac Caglianone (soon to be drafted).

The 2024 IABF Gala lineup will be star-studded as usual, with Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and Dave Righetti receiving the top honors. More honorees will be announced in the coming weeks.
