The Italian American Baseball Foundation is presenting Mike Piazza and the Italian National Baseball Team with its highest honor, the Tommy Lasorda Award.
Piazza and several members of the 2023 Italian World Baseball Classic team will accept the honor at the 2022 IABF Gala on December 1 at Giando on the Water in Brooklyn, NY. Tickets, tables and journal ad sales are available now!
“The IABF are strong supporters of Italian baseball,” said Piazza, a Baseball Hall of Famer manager of Team Italy. “We are proud to gather as a team on December 1 and continue what we have been building all year. IABF has believed in our vision in Italy and has helped carry out our mission internationally.”
This award is meant to recognize Italian Americans who have made strong contributions to baseball and who serve as proud examples of our culture and heritage, while believing in our mission of history, development and education.
IABF will announce other 2022 gala honorees throughout the fall.
