In year one, he managed the Pride to a Colonial Athletic Association championship, its first in school history and they&#8217;ve been playing baseball in Hempstead, NY since 1938.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third-seed in the tournament, Hofstra earned a 7-6 win over fifth-seeded Northeastern. The win was the Pride&#8217;s second walk-off win of the tournament and ninth this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hofstra improved its record to 30-21 with its ninth-consecutive victory. Sunday&#8217;s win earned the Pride the CAA&#8217;s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, and will find out their seeding and opponent at the NCAA Selection Show on Monday (May 30) at noon. The selection show will air on ESPN2.
