The Italian American Baseball Foundation marched in the 2026 Columbus Day Parade in New York City, joining the celebration along Fifth Avenue to honor the history, culture and contributions of Italian Americans.

For IABF, participating in the parade was a chance to celebrate its roots and recognize the generations whose sacrifices created opportunities for Italian American families. That legacy remains central to the foundation’s work connecting heritage with opportunities in baseball, softball, education and community.

The march also provided a meaningful setting to reflect on the connection between the foundation’s mission and the broader Italian American experience. Through its programs, IABF preserves cultural ties while helping future generations pursue their goals on the field and in the classroom.

As the foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary, its participation underscored the community pride behind that work. As IABF marched along Fifth Avenue, it carried a message that guides its mission year-round: honoring the past includes investing in the future.
