In a perfect Italian American scenario, the New York Yankees added two successful players who are proud of their heritage at the trade deadline.

Anthony Rizzo and Joey Gallo make their way to the Bronx and have embraced the enviornment.

“I remember coming here with the Rangers and thinking, ‘wow, this would be a cool place to play for me’ because I’m Italian and the fan base is really Italian here,” Gallo said. “It’s exciting. I saw that flag waiving and it makes me proud because there are not a ton of Italian baseball players, Rizzo is one as well, and it’s prideful to have that success, especially here in New York.”

Gallo even bought an Italian Stallions shirt from Barstool Sports to commemorate the trade (see above).
