For the second straight year, the Italian American Baseball Foundation and Long Island Baseball partnered on a youth baseball camp.
The camp will have two Italian American instructors: Long Island Ducks player LJ Mazzilli (Tuesday) and former big leaguer Frank Catalanotto (Wednesday).
Special thank you to Nassau County Legislator Steve Rhoads for visiting the camp today. Leg. Rhoads, who is Italian on his mother’s side, still plays baseball in men’s leagues across Long Island and enjoyed offering instruction to players on Tuesday morning. He is gearing up for a run at a seat in the New York State Senate this fall.
Youth development is a key aspect of IABF’s growth mission. Thousands of student-athletes have been instructed at IABF sponsored clinics since the organization launched in 2016.
