Thank you to the Washington Nationals for an incredible Italian Heritage Day experience! Every member of the IABF – Italian American Baseball Foundation board was involved on field from first pitch to the famed President’s Race to the lineup card delivery and so much more.

These Italian Heritage Games across MLB are a moment to shine light on the growth of the game in Italy and the legacy of Italian Americans playing and coaching here.

A percentage of ticket sales from the game will benefit the IABF Scholarship Fund.

On-field activations included the first pitch thrown by IABF Director Chris Vaccaro, Play Ball! said by IABF Director Natalie Spedaliere, Pres Joe Quagliano and VP Carmine Gangone delivered the lineup card to homeplate and Secretary Mark Cardillo and Joe DiMartino held the finish line during the famed President’s Race.

Prior to the game IABF board members met with Congressman Nick LaLota and Congressman Anthony D’Esposito on Capital Hill to present them IABF jerseys.
